Bankable attends EU Commission Vice President’s Roundtable
On February 10, a roundtable discussing how the EU is accelerating its Capital Market Union project was held at Bloomberg’s offices in London, where our Founder and CEO Eric Mouilleron was also invited. The roundtable was led by Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue (also in charge of Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union) at the European Commission.
The purpose of the roundtable was for FinTech firms to have an informal conversation with the Vice-President Dombrovskis and his team, and to provide an overview of their sub-sectors and businesses, the challenges, and how the EU could better facilitate the growth of FinTech and foster innovation in financial services.
During the roundtable, Vice-President Dombrovskis commented on the next steps in the EU regulatory agenda to maintain stability in the financial services sector while supporting the key role it has to play at the heart of any modern economy. He also set out the state of play on international regulatory initiatives.
Bankable exhibits and pitches at HM Treasury’s International FinTech Conference
Bankable exhibited at the HM Treasury’s first International FinTech Conference hosted at Old Billingsgate. Bankable was chosen as amongst the top 100 UK FinTech firms to exhibit at the event, and as amongst the top 14 FinTechs to pitch. Our Marketing and Communications Manager, Rashee Pandey, pitched our Banking as a Service offering under 3 minutes. Rashee Pandey on Innovate Finance’s Women in FinTech Powerlist

FinTech Valley released the first part of their London FinTech List, featuring eight start-ups headquartered in the capital. Bankable too was featured in the list, being recognised for its contribution in the FinTech ecosystem in the region. See the list here.
Eric Mouilleron’s KeyNote at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology
The Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (The LHoFT) hosted their Virtual Groundbreaking event on October 17, bringing together the global fintech and financial community of innovators “to create synergies and develop solutions that will shape the future of financial services”. The event was graced by the presence of HE Pierre Gramegna, Luxembourg Minister of Finance. Bankable’s Founder and CEO, Eric Mouilleron was invited as a KeyNote Speaker where he stressed the importance of collaboration saying, “To encourage open innovation, collaboration between incumbents & disruptors is key.” Read more about the event here.

Bankable’s Banking as a Service offering was recognised by Enlume Inc. Enlume named Bankable amongst the Top 30 FinTech Start-Ups to Watch in 2017 for Banking Services. London FinTech Week: Bankable represents payments during the Banking and Insurance Conference
Payments today plays a critical role in innovation in the insurance industry. Bankable was invited for a panel discussion during the London FinTech Week 2016 Banking and Insurance Conference, where the topic was “The Insurance Industry Response to FinTech”. Bankable’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Rashee Pandey, discussed the reasons why InsurTech exists, the innovation trends in the industry including rolling out real-time claim payments on e-wallets, and why collaboration is key. Alongside Rashee were David Roche (Director Financial Services of Pramerica Systems Ireland) and moderator Ian Gilbert (Cheif Revenue Officer at Agreement Express). Rashee Pandey, Bankable’s Marketing and Communications Manager, was invited to be on “The Future of FinTech – The Battle Between the Old and the New” panel during FinTech Evolution 2016. Rashee discussed the future of the FinTech ecosystem by painting a collaborative picture. She highlighted Bankable’s partnering in action and alignment with financial institutions.
