Our Founder and CEO, Eric Mouilleron, attended the launch of The FinTech Book at The Shard as an author. Eric’s story is highlighted under ‘More Success Stories’ chapter where he shares his Bankable story from inception (page 201). The FinTech Book is the first globally crowd-sourced book on FinTech and is a project undertaken by Susanne Chishti, CEO of FinTech Circle, and Janos Barberis, Founder of FinTechHK. Bankable contributes to The Open Banking Standard, an initiative by HM Treasury

February 9, 2016 – Bankable contributed to The Open Banking Standard, a framework aimed at stimulating financial innovation and competition through the means of APIs as “open, federated and networked solutions” at the request of the HM Treasury, The Open Banking Working Group (OBWG) started operations in September 2015 with the vision of sharing data held by banks using secure, open APIs to improve all financial stakeholders’ banking experiences. Founder and CEO Eric Mouilleron and Legal and HR Manager Elena Fiorio added a FinTech perspective to the standard in the user reference, governance, and regulation & legal side of things. Bankable wins “Top 10 Global Emerging Star 2015/16” award by KPMG and H2 Ventures

The Bankable team graciously accepted the “Top 10 Global Emerging Stars 2015/16” award during the FinTech 100 Awards Evening hosted by KPMG in their Mayfair offices. The award was a result of Bankable securing a spot in the Leading Global 100 FinTech Innovators List by KPMG and H2 Ventures as an “Emerging Star” – the list highlighted “existing new FinTech companies with bold, disruptive and potentially game-changing ideas”.

Bankable participates in FinTech Connect Live

Bankable demoed and exhibited its payment solutions on both days of FinTech Connect Live at Wembley Stadium. Avinash Agrawal, Head of Product Strategy and Commercialisation, was also a panelist in the “Convergence Innovation” panel discussing the convergence between insurance, digital payments, peer-to-peer and commerce, and how FinTech companies can work with insurance companies to facilitate real-time claim payments on e-wallets and cards.

Bankable discusses financial innovation at PwC’s Banking Day

Luxembourg – As the 14th edition of the Banking Day by PricewaterhouseCoopers unfolded in Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce on February 5, Eric Mouilleron, Founder & CEO of Bankable, was one of the speakers and panelists at the conference.

In the presence of around 200 representatives of financial institutions, Eric presented a Bankable business case study in line with the theme of the conference – Innovation Trends in the Financial Services Industry – to showcase the digital solutions Bankable has to offer. Other speakers included Laurent Probst, CEO and Founder of PwC Accelerator, and Peter Gille, CEO of Nexus.

Eric also participated in a panel discussing new channels to pave innovation in financial services such as through smartphones and virtual currencies, along with Peter Gille, Hugues Delcourt (CEO of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg), and Thorben Sander (CEO of Nordea); while Dariush Yazdani (Partner and Research Institute Leader at PwC Luxembourg) moderated the panel.

Every year, PwC’s Banking Day sheds light on relevant industry topics. This year’s subject highlights the fact that technological innovation is disrupting the financial services industry. Eric further added, “At Bankable we believe that the future lies in fintech companies using banks’ reliable infrastructure, benefiting from their investment in security and compliance, while adding a layer of innovation to the existing system and offer value-added services.”
