  • Technical Architect

    The candidate will be responsible for bringing together the technical strategy of our business, with key input from key stakeholders.

    Description

    • The candidate will be responsible for bringing together the technical strategy of our business, with key input from key stakeholders. The focus will not only be on the platforms software delivery but will also cut across other areas such as infrastructure, security and services which internal staff rely on.
    • The role covers both the software that the development teams write plus the other parts of our end-to-end software stack, covering hardware devices such as HSMs and Firewalls.
    • Facilitate meetings at any level within a project or business unit.The goal of these meetings would be to gain agreement on technical strategy and an agreement on what outcomes the team should focus on.
    • Mediate team discussions to arrive at a team consensus.
    • Be able to plan and facilitate workshops such as design sessions, architecture reviews, process reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, visioning, product roadmap and story refinements
    • Much of the role will include up-front work with the project managers within the group to ensure our technical focus aligns with our business needs.

    Requirements

    The Production Services team is one of the client facing teams at Bankable, and manages the service to our clients both in Day-to-Day operations and helping deliver new functionality to production. Our clients are European and soon to be Global. The role will work closely with Client Services, Technology, Implementation and Delivery. The role will help promote, shape and define:

    • An ITIL-lite Service Management framework, supporting Agile development approach
    • Client engagement, with respects to Service Delivery
    • Analytics and reporting of Service Delivery
    • Organisational collaboration and productivity

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Be a client partner, working with to resolve issues, propose known solutions or workarounds and assist management in the highlighting client needs.
    • Cultivate relationships with Client Services, Implementation, Delivery and Technology teams to develop a deep understanding of our product, organisation and how our client’s use it
    • Co-ordinate and help prioritise Incidents, Service Requests, Problems and Changes
    • Act as an Incident Manager when required (this responsibility will be shared as required)

    Production Services wins and projects

    We’ve come a long way in the last year or so and continue to move forward at pace! We’ve built an automated Ansible playbook solution to building a nightly Pre-Production environment to help with database release delivery. We’ve got a fully automated Gitlab CI/CD pipeline running for Website deployments. We’ve integrated a number of Cloud -aaS solutions: Foxpass for LDAP, Wazuh for SIEM and Elastic Stack for data analysis, monitoring dashboards and alerting on the API. We’ve experimented with Proof of Concepts in Google Cloud Platform and taken hybrid-cloud services into Production. In the near future we’ll be continuing to build more automated deployments, we’ll be looking at using and building more cloud and hybrid-cloud services as well as working towards certifying for ISO20001 and SOC 2 Type 2.

    Requirements

    You will be working within the Production Services team to both support day to day running of the full stack/suite of Bankable’s Infrastructure and Applications and to then work with the wider team to help improve it.

    Every day is different, tasks might include investigating performance issues on the application/systems, maintenance activity like patching, security reviews, administration tasks like setting up new users for VPN, SSH access, deploying new application releases, setting up new clients on the firewall. Then further down the line, helping to improve: reliability engineering, automation of server builds/deployments, planning and implementing DR testing/solutions.

    A solid foundation and working knowledge of:

    • Linux (or Unix, BSD) – comfortable navigating through shell, viewing/editing files, file permissions, cron, package management, command-line tools
    • Networking fundamentals – IP addressing and subnetting, routing, firewall, NAT, VPNs on any vendor (we use Fortinet)
    • APIs/Webservices/Messaging – REST or REST-like APIs, things like Webhooks, MQ, Pub/Sub, file transfers, polling
    • Business applications/services – supporting/troubleshooting any business applications/services (may be bespoke)
    • Web applications/technologies – working with any applications/tech like Apache, nginx, HAproxy, JBOSS, IIS and alike
    • Server support/management/monitoring – understanding of server performance like on disks/CPUs etc., virtualisation technology (hypervisor/VMs)
    • Monitoring systems – working with any monitoring/alerting systems like Nagios, PagerDuty etc.
    • Release/Deployment – some exposure to release/deployment processes ideally hands on with deployments

    We are looking for a hands-on Compliance Analyst. You will report into our Senior Compliance Manager and along you will be involved in taking care of the compliance practice as well as improving and maintaining relevant policies, procedures, system monitoring, technology-based controls and training. You will effectively manage partner relationships to preserve our status as a valued and respected partner.

    Your responsibilities

    • Maintain awareness of global regulatory developments with regards to all business activities
    • Report and investigate possible instances of money laundering, suspicious activity or fraud including negative balances, disputes and chargebacks
    • Perform risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, due diligence and PEPs & sanctions checks, including KYB & KYC
    • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop/implement pragmatic corrective action plans
    • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc support on compliance queries (both from clients and internal stakeholders) and payment networks, marketing, compliance, etc

    Requirements

    Our ideal candidate:

    • 3 years or more experience of regulatory and compliance in financial/payment services, preferably in payments or cards
    • High sense of responsibility and autonomy – “ready to go” from day one
    • Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge relevant to the role, ie AML directives, GDPR, FATF, Fraud
    • Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, for both internal and external clients

    About Bankable

    Bankable is an award-winning FinTech providing a payments platform enabling solutions including virtual accounts, virtual & plastic prepaid card programmes, e-wallets & light banking. We are currently experiencing exponential growth with a client base ranging from global corporates, banks, insurers and marketplaces to SMEs and FinTechs.

    Role Purpose

    We are currently looking for two Customer Success & Account Managers to join our Sales & Advisory team. You will assist Sales & Account Managers building long-term business relationships with potential and existing international corporate clients. You will liaise between prospects and cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs. On the Customer Success side, you will develop technical, industry and client-based knowledge to cater to corporate clients’ queries and help keep our existing client base happy.

    Your Responsibilities

    You will support Bankable’s expansion by assisting Sales & Account Managers in the following activities:

    • Managing and fostering relationships with clients
    • Welcoming new and prospective clients to the business and its products
    • Supporting new and prospective clients during the onboarding journey
    • Managing client queries, responding to client queries and helping clients navigate through our payments platform – and liaising with our tech team members to deal with requests if required
    • Identifying and providing analyses of customer feedback, process-improvement suggestions, and innovative ideas to improve general customer experience
    • Identifying key leads within the client base to offer more comprehensive and ad-hoc content proposals and solutions

    Requirements

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with a strong business acumen
    • Previous client facing work experience and/or experience in the payments industry would be a plus
    • Strong team-spirit: ability to work collaboratively across functions in a proactive way
    • Great intellectual agility and rigorous attention to detail
    • Completely fluent in English & French (oral & written) – other languages are a definite plus!
