    Role Purpose

    We are currently looking for an Fintech Recruiter & HR Administrator to join the Legal & HR team. You will be working closely with the Head of Legal &HR to improve and implement HR processes as well as providing general administrative support. A central part of the role will be driving the recruitment.

    This a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual seeking an exciting opportunity to work for an innovative fintech. You will have the opportunity to develop the position as you grow with the company.

    Your responsibilities

    • Lead the recruitment process by:
      • Sourcing candidates
      • Performing an initial CV screening
      • Managing candidate correspondence
      • Assisting hiring managers in finding candidates though ads and head hunting
      • Acting as a point of contact for any candidate queries during the recruitment and selection process
      • Requesting references for new employees
      • Ensuring all checks required have been carried out by any new employees
      • Liaising with recruitment agencies as required
      • Populating HR database in respect of all recruitment activities
      • Ensuring all openings are listed on various portals and channels as required
    • Undertake all required preemployment checks, update and liaise with hiring managers as appropriate
    • Administer starter/leaver processes including all documentation and induction processes
    • Maintain and update electronic and hard copies of personnel record systems (absence, holiday, benefits, etc)
    • Prepare, as required, management reports on employee-related data to assist with the management and development of staff
    • Provide basic training for managers on HR processes
    • Provide general administrative support as required
    • Be the first point of call for any office maintenance (ordering office equipment and supplies, etc.)
    • Coordinate team events (company drinks, team building etc.)
    • Provide executive assistance (calendaring meeting, business trips, ordering business cards etc.)

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Experience in recruitment
    • Excellent written skills (other languages are a plus)
    • Is creative, energetic, resourceful, takes initiative, self-motivated and a team player
    • Is highly organized, determined and detail oriented
    • Proficient at using the Microsoft suite, especially Word and Excel

  • Finance Manager

    We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our team and assist the Head of Finance in establishing and developing the Finance function. Bankable is growing and there is a need to setup and industrialise finance processes to enable the company to scale. You will be able to take ownership of the ongoing finance processes and define efficient and effective workflows, constantly seeking improvement. You will have a keen interest in the payments industry, and will have the opportunity to make an impact in all areas of the business.

    Reporting to: Head of Finance

    Starting Date: ASAP

    Role Purpose

    We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our team and assist the Head of Finance in establishing and developing the Finance function. Bankable is growing and there is a need to setup and industrialise finance processes to enable the company to scale. This will initially be a very wide ranging role, and you will progressively take ownership of the day-to-day finance processes from the Head of Finance, defining efficient and effective workflows, constantly seeking improvement. You will have a keen interest in the payments industry, and will have the opportunity to make an impact in all areas of the business. As the company scales you will play a key role in building out the finance team.

    Your responsibilities

    Management Accounts / Management Information / Board Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly management accounts, board pack and associated management information
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecast
    • Develop, improve and industrialise existing and new reporting and analysis

    Financial Planning & Analysis:

    • Work with Business Development team to continuously update rolling forecast, and analyse against actuals
    • Work with Head of Finance to setup, control and analyse budgeting process
    • Produce adhoc KPIs / management information as required

    Invoicing / Credit Control / Supplier Payments / Expenses:

    • Define, setup and manage sales order, purchase order and expense management processes
    • Process sales and purchase invoices, manage supplier payments

    Finance Operations:

    • Work with Head of Finance to select new accounting software solution (or upgrade existing solution) to properly fulfil Bankable requirements, and implement as required
    • Work with Head of Finance and Technology teams to define and improve reporting and reconciliation tools
    • Manage and improve financial reconciliation processes relating to prepaid card and agency banking services
    • Assist with ongoing operational processes, including funds authorisation, chargebacks, etc.

    Recruitment:

    • The finance function will expand in the future. You will work closely with the Head of Finance to determine the future structure of the team, defining responsibilities, etc.

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • 2-3 years post qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, etc.)
    • Experience in payments or financial services, and particularly experience in card payments
    • Advanced Excel skills, able to work with large datasets
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively and across functions
    • Great intellectual agility and attention to detail
    • Native level fluency in English (oral & written), French and other languages a plus but not required

  • Senior Developer – C++ and PHP

    We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Developer within our platform development team. As a key member of the development team you will use your experience to develop outstanding solutions while also mentoring more junior team members. The team will develop new functionality and enhance existing features as we expand into new markets and continue to innovate. Our platform is operated in a Platform as a Service model, servicing many clients through direct API integration and/or white labelled solutions. We therefore focus on building a flexible core product we take to market rather than building bespoke solutions for every client.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Developing software in C++, PHP and other languages as required
    • Leading development of specific features or components
    • Participate and sometimes lead analysis and design
    • Designing, developing and testing system enhancements / changes
    • Producing technical analysis / design documents / specifications as required
    • Producing and justifying estimates for design / development tasks
    • Working with Support to explain and handover new functionality
    • Discussing business requirements with end users and / or analysts from other project teams and recommending possible solutions / options
    • Mentoring more junior staff when required

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Has 7+ years experience in developing distributed enterprise scale applications
    • Has excellent C++ software development skills, particularly on Linux and Windows
    • Is an expert in distributed high availability, secure, transaction based system development
    • Has a good knowledge of PostgreSQL and related tools
    • Has experience of developing in PHP, Java and other mainstream languages
    • Has good communication and interpersonal skills and able to converse with people in a wide range of functions
    • Is confident and self motivating, yet able to work in a team
    • Is quick to pick up ideas and understand new concepts
    • Has good documentational / literacy skills
    • Can motivate and mentor others
    • Can work under pressure
    • Is flexible to changing priorities / strategies
    • Has experience of implementing and enhancing continuous integration
    • Has previous work experience in the payments, banking or FinTech industries (Not mandatory)
    • Is fluent in English (oral & written) and ideally French – other languages are a big plus
